HHSC proudly support the RNLI through sponsored events
24 Hr Race
We have been running a sponsored 24 Hr race since May 1976, and was run annually until 2006, when council regulations forced us to drop it to 6 Hrs. In the 30 years to date, we have raised over £90,000, with the proceeds donated to the Royal Navy Lifeboat Institute (RNLI).
As a result of our fundraising efforts, in 1987 the club was honoured by the naming of a new boat, the Atlantic 21 class, stationed at West Mersea in Essex, as "Himley Hall".
