Brief Encounter

As Himley Hall was the place where Edward and Mrs Simpson first met, where could be a better location for Dudley Little Theatre Group to film their cut scenes for the romance, Brief Encounter. This is Himley Hall Sailing Club

Here are just a few pictures that give a feel for the unique setting of HHSC and our facilities. We are based in the grounds of Himley Hall, the historic home of the Earls of Dudley and our clubhouse and classroom are based in the Earl's thatched boathouse. For the historically minded, the boathouse is where the future Edward VIII began his courtship of Wallis Simpson which was to lead to hi abdication in 1937.
